Evidently FEMA-less Caps fall to Hurricanes in Shootout

The loss to Carolina last night continues the Caps' shaky form of the past 3 games. Nobody decided to put out a truly impressive performance, (aside from another solid outing by Logan "Better than your Favourite Goalie" Thompson) which resulted in a disappointing shootout defeat after leading with less than 3 minutes to go in the third. Though we picked up a point, none of our big name skaters really did much, aside from an Ovi assist. Despite that, perpetual bottom six GOAT Nic Dowd bagged a goal, and Connor McMichael (the best "Connor Mc" in the league) undressed Bussi like his name was Carter Hart. Overall, this was a disappointing effort, and Sandin's assist for Carolina was an unsavoury way to get equalized on. Cap of the day is no doubt Thompson, who put up a solid 37 saves in a fruitless attempt to save Washington. Next on the calendar is Winnipeg, famous for stabbings, and probably some other things as well. Until then, have a splendid time.
