The Raptors collapse in the fourth quarter and go on to lose in overtime.

The Raptors game into Charlotte on a nine-game winning streak to face a pretty bad Hornets team.

Considering they play the Knicks tomorrow in New York, they wanted to get this win. With no RJ Barrett however, things were going to be tough.

Things started off great in the first quarter. Toronto was strong offensively and built a 13-point lead. They grew that lead to 17 points mid-way through the second, but the Hornets pushed back and cut it to a six point game by half-time.

The third quarter was pretty even and uneventful. The Raptors won it by one and went into the fourth up seven points.

They started the fourth off well. They buckled down and built the lead to 12 with just under six minutes to go.

And...... then everything fell apart. The offense completely dried up. They didn't score for five minutes and allowed Charlotte to come back and tie the game. They took back the lead in the last minute, but a late three-pointer from them tied the game. Ingram had a chance to win it but missed a mid-range jumper, sending the game to overtime.

With all the momentum, the Hornets dominated overtime and won the game 118-111. The winning streak is over at nine games.

Thoughts:

It's hard to get mad at a team that had just won nine straight... so they get some slack.

That being said, they should be able to close out a game up double-digits against a bad team. The offence completely dried up, and they couldn't hit their shots. It happens, though.

Raptor of the Day: Scottie Barnes

Dropped 30 points with 12 rebounds; he's been so good all year.

Up Next: At NYK:

Will be tough. They play tomorrow against a good Knicks team. They're going to have to clean up their bad habits, which have surfaced in their previous few games.
